Elden Ring Mods

We've been waiting a long time for this, and now Elden Ring is finally out. Rumors about FromSoftware's latest game had been around long before its launch, and fans were wondering when the first mods for it would appear and if the game would support Steam Workshop.

Elden Ring has been a major step for the developers, given that it’s the first Souls open-world game from FromSoftware Studios. That’s partly why enthusiasts keep hoping that Steam Workshop support will be here soon.

So far, the topic of modifications for Elden Ring has not been touched in the marketing of the game, just like in past FromSoftware games. Neither the Dark Souls trilogy nor Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice supported official modding tools. Steam Workshop support never showed up there either, though that didn’t stop fans from creating quite a few mods.

They range from simple reshades, fixing the color palette in the game, to rescans or more ambitious projects that change key gameplay elements, such as battles with monsters. At the moment, the status of Elden Ring support in the Steam Workshop is not confirmed, and it may not appear in the future.

The lack of official tools to create mods, of course, limits the possibilities of enthusiasts, and unfortunately, judging from what we know, Elden Ring found itself in the same situation as its predecessors.

Nevertheless, the first modifications for Elden Ring have already appeared some time after the game’s release, and we have collected the best of them in this compilation. It will be supplemented as new significant projects appear.

Keep in mind that for some modifications for Elden Ring you can get a ban if you play with them online, so make sure that the game is switched to offline mode and Easy Anti-Cheat is turned off before you start them.

Anti-cheat Toggler and Offline Launcher

This modification disables the built-in anticheat and switches the game to offline mode. But remember that if you want to continue the game online you will have to cancel all the changes made.

Pause the Game

By default, Elden Ring does not allow you to pause the game. This can be a problem if you need to pause for a while in the middle of a boss fight or in an area patrolled by enemies. This simple mod fixes the situation and lets you find out what your cat turned over in the kitchen without worrying that knights in shining armor will pierce your character with their spears while you're away.

Elden Reshade – HDR FX

You can customize the look of any game with reshades, and Elden Ring is no exception. The reason why this mod is worth looking at is because it adds more subtle settings that improve the lighting of the game without drastically changing its visual design or overall style.

Flawless Widescreen

While this is more of a third-party software than a real mod, it's worth noting that with it you don't have to make compromises when playing Elden Ring on extra-wide monitors, even though they are not officially supported. Flawless Widescreen lets you deal with this problem, and also includes other useful options.

No Startup Videos

A simple mod that removes the two screensavers that appear not only when you start the game, but also when you are about to exit it. Unfortunately, its installation requires unpacking all the files and, according to the creator, increases the size of the game up to 100 GB. But if that doesn't stop you, download it from the link below.

Eldest Ring

Eldest Ring is a mod that makes a number of changes to the item and parameter scaling system, as well as some enhancements. It slightly increases the initial amount of health and its maximum level, doubles the effect of the sorcery parameter on detection, and replaces the concentration bonus of the enlightening horn amulet with a slow regeneration of concentration points. More changes are planned in the future.

Easy Mode for Elden Ring

Difficulty in FromSoftware games is one of the most painful topics, and this mod will let you breathe easier in the studio's first open-world game. Enemies do less damage, and you hit harder and collect runes ten times faster. It's not the most graceful mod, but if you're really struggling to play and just want to explore the world, it's well worth a look.
