Ravenfield: Swiss Guard [Sacco di Roma]

This mod adds Swiss Guard [Sacco di Roma] to Ravenfield.

THEN THE 189, IN THE SERVICE OF HEAVEN
The Swiss Guard, or also known as Cohors Helvetica, are the Papal Honor Guards. It is a small military force, currently having 135 members.

THEY’RE PROTECTING THE HOLY LINE- IT WAS 1527
On 6th May 1527, a force of 14000 German Landsknechte, 6000 Spaniards, aswell as an unkown ammount of Italians, have stormed Romes wall. Leaderless, the army brougth death, pain, and destruction upon rome. In order to secure Pope Clement VII’s retread to the Castel Sant’Angelo, 147 of the 189 men stayed back.

GAVE THEIRE LIVES ON THE STEPS TO HEAVEN… THY WILL BE DONE!
Of the 147 men that stayed back, non survived. Pope Clement VII eventually reached the Castel Sant’Angelo safly.

Even today, the Swiss Guard still honors the braveness of the 147 men.

Ok so, this is the start of a very small project. Eventually, a Landknecht Skin, several weapons of the era and a vatican map will be released later on.

In case anyone wonders, the thick words are refering to sabaton’s song “The Last Stand”, which is often mistaken to be about crusaders.
